Mountain giants & alpine pasture culture between Pyhrn and Priel
Striking two-thousand metre peaks, long ridges and an extraordinary density of farmed alpine pastures characterise the mountain world between Pyhrn and Priel. Hiking trails, via ferratas, mountain railways and bike & hike routes connect the valley and summits in short distances. Those who start early can experience the sunrise over the mountains - silent and far away.

Kalkalpen National Park natural area
The Kalkalpen National Park stands for wild forests, UNESCO-protected beech forests, deep gorges and rugged rock faces. Hiking trails, bike trails and climbing routes lead through one of the most unspoilt natural landscapes in the country. Ranger tours provide an insight into what grows and remains here.

The city of rivers
Enns, Steyr and Krems are accompanied by cycle and hiking trails all the way to the 1,000-year-old city of Steyr. And it manages to surprise: Natural bathing beaches and the Lower Steyr Valley nature reserve extend right into the town centre - where the river landscape meets the historic town square.

Exercise and thermal warmth in Bad Hall
Gentle hills, wide fields and the spa park characterise the landscape around Bad Hall. Hikes through the green countryside can be combined with a visit to the Mediterrana thermal spa - for soothing warmth after active hours in the great outdoors.
