Some routes are short - and yet lead very close to the source.
In 360° Alpenland, farm shops and farm-gate sales open their doors to anyone who wants to know where their food comes from.

Things to know about your holiday to take home:

From alpine cheese, cider and brandies to honey, herbal salt and handmade pastries. Many products come directly from farms or small manufacturers in Upper Austria.

At farmers' markets, in farm shops, at Genussland partners or directly at the producer's farm. You can find out first-hand how cheese, bacon and jam are made.

Cider from meadow orchards, flavoursome mountain cheese, honey from the Alpine foothills or handmade confectionery. These products reflect the landscape and tradition.

Look out for labels of origin, quality seals or a personal conversation with the producer. Transparency is part of 360° Alpenland.

This is often possible at markets or on farm tours. This builds trust - and you know what you're taking home with you.

Many specialities are packed in travel-friendly packaging. For sensitive goods, the businesses will advise you directly on site.

Some farms and manufacturers offer online shops or mail order. So the holiday feeling stays alive even after the trip.
