Things to know about a hiking holiday in 360° Alpenland

The 360° Alpenland offers a variety of hiking trails for every fitness level: from leisurely strolls and walking routes, pleasure tours from alpine pasture to alpine pasture, long-distance hiking trails lasting several days, family themed trails, refreshing paths along river valleys, springs and Upper Austria's longest gorge, to challenging high mountain tours.

Yes, most of the hiking trails in 360° Alpenland are very well marked and easy to find. Nevertheless, it is advisable to use a hiking map or a corresponding app and to inform yourself well about the route before your tour! Only stay on signposted paths and opt for marked hikes and summit destinations - for the sake of nature and your own safety.

On our website you will find detailed descriptions of the hiking trails, downloadable GPS data and you can order various hiking maps and information brochures. These are also available directly from your nearest tourist information centre. Our information team will be happy to help you and has lots of personalised tour tips ready for you!

In the south of 360° Alpenland, the cable cars in Hinterstoder and the funicular railway to the Wurzeralm take you comfortably up to alpine heights of around 1,900 metres. From there, hiking trails, panoramic spots and alpine pastures open up - with views of the region's striking peaks.

You can find more information here.

In the south of the region, the extraordinary density of alpine pastures characterises the landscape - and your mountain experience too. Around 60 managed alpine pastures lie between the valley and the summit, making every tour a journey with a destination. Some can be reached on foot via scenic trails, some by bike and others by car.

Whether it's hearty regional cuisine, savoury snacks with home-made products from the surrounding area, freshly baked pastries or some surprising creations - here, food is cooked with care and served with pleasure.
