In Pyhrn-Priel, natural bathing and mountain lakes with clear views of the mountains invite you to cool off, stand-up paddle and enjoy. Interesting facts about the bathing options in 360° Alpenland

The 360° Alpenland offers a variety of bathing opportunities, including:

  • Natural pools: Numerous crystal-clear mountain lakes invite you to swim, dive and sunbathe.
  • Outdoor pools: Some municipalities have outdoor pools with additional facilities such as water slides.
  • Indoor pools: For those who want to swim even in bad weather.
  • Bad Hall thermal spa: Spa fun with a Mediterranean flair - with a massage temple, panoramic whirlpool, bubble loungers, outdoor summer pool and marvellous views of the Alpine foothills.

The best months for a swimming holiday in 360° Alpenland are the summer months of June, July and August. This is when the water temperatures are at their most pleasant and the sun shines most often.
If the weather doesn't play ball, our region has the Bad Hall thermal spa and several indoor pools.

Yes, many of the bathing options in 360° Alpenland are very child-friendly. There are shallow shore areas and playgrounds.

There is usually an entrance fee for swimming lakes, outdoor pools and indoor pools.

Guests with the Pyhrn-Priel AktivCard and Pyhrn-Priel Saisoncard have mostly free admission from May to November.

You should take the following equipment with you for a swimming holiday in 360° Alpenland:

  • Swimwear

  • Bath towel

At the bathing lakes:

  • Water sports equipment (optional)
  • Snorkel and diving goggles (optional)

Pedal boats, rowing boats and SUPs can be hired at Gleinkersee.
At the Klaus/Pyhrnbahn reservoir you can hire an electric boat, pedal boat or party boat on site (no pre-booking possible).

The bathing opportunities in 360° Alpenland are characterised by their natural beauty and crystal-clear water quality. Many lakes are surrounded by impressive mountain scenery and offer a unique swimming experience.

Even though most of the bathing waters in 360° Alpenland are very safe, you should take a few precautions:

  • Pay attention to the water temperature, especially if you are travelling with children.
  • Always wear adequate sun protection when swimming.
  • Pay attention to the warnings about strong currents or other dangers.
  • Always keep an eye on your children!
