Schiederweiher Hinterstoder - mirror of the mountains

The Schiederweiher in Hinterstoder is one of the most impressive natural sites in the south of the 360° Alpenland. At 612 metres above sea level, the mountains of Spitzmauer and Großes Priel are reflected in the clear water - a picture that impressed the whole of Austria in 2018. The circular trail is around five kilometres long and leads through the Stodertal valley, past meadows, forests and rest areas. Swimming is not permitted in the nature reserve, but it is precisely this tranquillity that makes it so attractive. Between the mountains and the Kalkalpen National Park, a place is created where hiking in Upper Austria becomes easy - and the view is wide.
